Board of Executive Officers

Alberto Cimenti joined the company in 2013. He initially served as General Manager of Pricing and Planning and, in 2015, became Chief Commercial Officer. In his 20 years’ experience, he also held the positions of Commercial Executive Manager (Grupo RBS); Consultant (Bain & Company); and Sales Coordinator (TIM), among others, before joining Lojas Quero-Quero. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS) and an MBA from Politecnico di Milano, in Italy.

Cristiane Rhoden joined the Company in 2001. During her career at the Company, she held the positions of Sales Promoter in Affiliates, Sales Supervisor, Coordinator and General Manager of Financial Services. In 2019, she became Adjunct Chief of Financial Services Officer and, in 2021, Chief Operating Officer. She holds a degree in Business Administration from UNIJUÍ and an Executive MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

Daniel Artus joined the company in 1982. During his career at the company, he held the positions of Inventory Assistant, Stocker, Salesman, Store Manager, Human Resources General Manager, Administrative and Financial General Manager, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and became Chief Expansion Officer in 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Unijuí and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from FEMA.

Jean Pablo de Mello joined the company in 2013. Since then, he has held the positions of Trainee, Financial Planning Manager, General Manager of Strategic and Financial Planning and, in 2018, became Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Lojas Quero-Quero, he worked for Alstom Grid, Louis Vuitton and Procter & Gamble. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with a joint degree from the École Centrale de Lyon, and an MBA from INSEAD.

Luciano Scotta joined the Company in 2008. Since then, he has occupied the positions of Risk Manager and General Manager of Risk and Credit and, in 2015, became Chief Credit and Collection Officer. Before joining Lojas Quero-Quero, he held the following positions: Risk Manager (Lojas Renner); Market Specialist (CPFL [former Rio Grande Energia]); and Pricing Specialist (Ambev). He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Centro Universitário La Salle La Salle and an MBA in Business Finance from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Mirson José Engelmann joined the company in 1992. During his career at the company, he held the positions of Inventory Assistant, Stocker, Salesman, Trainee Manager, Store Manager, Regional Manager, Operations General Manager and, in 2019, became Chief Operating Officer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidade Luterana do Brasil (ULBRA) and an MBA in Strategic and Economic Business Management from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Peter Furukawa joined the company in 2009. Since then, he has held the position of Chief Executive Officer. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Fortbras and C&A. Before joining Lojas Quero-Quero, Peter Furukawa held the following positions: CEO (IMC); COO (Pernambucanas); CEO (Submarino); CFO (PepsiCo Foods); and Senior Engagement Manager (McKinsey & Co). He graduated in Computer Science and earned an MBA from Brigham Young University, in the USA.
